The pedagogical approach of Allingua: turning diversity into a driver of learning
Learning in a group is much more than attending a course. It is a human experience rich in exchange, discovery and diversity.
At Allingua, this diversity is not a challenge to overcome but a resource to harness. We turn heterogeneity into a learning lever and differentiation into an essential tool, enabling every learner to progress at their own pace while working towards shared objectives.
An embraced and valued heterogeneity
Each training group brings together learners of different ages, experiences and cultures. This plurality reflects real-life communication in both professional and personal contexts: learning to collaborate with different interlocutors, to adapt, to listen and to express oneself confidently.
By limiting groups to 10 participants, Allingua creates a human-sized learning environment where everyone finds their place, speaks up and learns from others. This well-managed heterogeneity stimulates cooperation, highlights individual strengths and supports a dynamic learning experience anchored in reality.
Differentiation: a key principle for success
The aim is not to diversify objectives, but to enable all learners to reach the same objectives through different paths.
Allingua applies this principle through two main approaches:
- Adapting teaching strategies to the individual needs of each learner.
- Maintaining shared, ambitious objectives for the whole group.
To differentiate is to recognise that each learner is unique – in their pace, learning methods, experiences and motivations – without compromising group cohesion. Our trainers diversify approaches, content and tools so that everyone can progress effectively.
A pedagogy rooted in practice and lived experience
Our trainers rely on complementary approaches that enrich every session.
We prioritise learning through action, followed by moments of reflection to give meaning to new discoveries. We also adapt our materials to different learning styles, allowing each person to progress at their own rhythm.
Our methods balance experimentation, observation and analysis, building solid skills.
Finally, we place great importance on autonomy, motivation and each adult’s experience, which become powerful learning drivers. In short, learners become true actors in their own learning.
This combination creates a unique pedagogical blend: lively, practical and personalised courses, rooted in the learners’ professional and personal realities while aligned with the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
The pillars of differentiation at Allingua

Varying resources to reach the same objective.

Adapting instructions, activities and the level of guidance.
Product
Offering different ways to demonstrate learning (written, oral, visual, collaborative).

Feedback is a tool for understanding and adjustment. It helps identify each learner’s achievements and needs, monitor progress and justify pedagogical choices.
Explaining the purpose of feedback to learners fosters trust and fairness.
The four verbs
of differentiation at Allingua
Our trainers structure their approach around four essential actions:
A collaborative
and human learning experience
Working in heterogeneous groups encourages peer-to-peer learning, mutual support and the appreciation of complementary strengths.
Our trainers foster caring communication, active listening and shared progress. In this atmosphere of respect and enjoyment, linguistic skills develop alongside essential human skills: openness, adaptability and collaboration.
In summary
At Allingua, diversity is a resource and differentiation a requirement.
Our pedagogy is rooted in a strong conviction:
every learner can succeed, provided their learning profile is respected and they are given the appropriate means to progress towards the CEFR objectives.
